Keyhole Coyote by tourmaline-83 Keyhole Coyote by tourmaline-83
Edit: Sold

See if your key fits!

Hahah, just joking. But this coyote skull is carved to look like a very unique treasure box (sorry, the picture for the left side of the skull didn't come out in focus). The jaws are tied with waxed thread so they can open but not fall off, and have stone and glass beads. Painted with oil paint and protected with a matte finish Krylon spray.
Asking $96 (US only, sorry. note: this skull was purchased cleaned and assembled from another seller and will come as is)

It worked out perfect too because this one had been treated with bleach instead of peroxide so it was real powdery in those areas up to a certain depth anyway ^^

OMG!!!!! I love this! So..What if we supply our own skulls? How much would something like this cost? The same as it would if you supplied the skull?

If you supply your own skull there will be a discount :) Basically it depends on the magnitude of the design you want carved on it and whether you want it painted, the type of bead, knotwork if you want it to have hemp on it, etc.
What are you thinking of? ;)

The 'wood' part was fun to do. Originally, I painted it with a pecan wood finish for something different and that actually helped to give it a reddish color in the end. ^^

Looks almost like it could be a magic treasure box in a video game. (Been playing too much lately). It'd contain your ultimate heal item or some kind of ultimate attack magic.

I like how meticulous the carving is. Must have taken a lot of paitience.

...I think I want something like this for my skull. How do you feel about doing a MASSIVE Black wildebeest skull? I have it already, it has beautiful horn sheathes and, on the whole, is an amazing skull.

DUDE yeah! Is it a whole skull with a bottom jaw? And you want it painted too? *all giddy*

No bottom jaw, but it's an AMAAAAAHZING skull. And yes, painted! I loved that antiqued look. I'm thinking I would like it patterned with ferns and snakes.

Awesome! The paint always seems to make the carvings stand out more, and especially so for fine details, like ferns. I'm very excited! 8D
